Policy

In order to protect qualified individuals with disabilities, the Company will comply with all applicable laws. The company will provide reasonable accommodations for any known physical or mental disability of a qualified individual, provided such accommodations do not pose an undue hardship for the company or a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace or to the employee requesting accommodations.

Procedure

In order to request an accommodation to perform essential functions of their job, an employee must notify their General Manager, Manager, and/or Human Resource Manager in writing. Employees who request accommodations should include their suggestions in the request. Employees may be required to provide their physician's note.

The company will do its best to provide reasonable accommodations such as a modification of workstations, changes in job duties or schedules (if reasonable), reassignment to another position, or time off (with or without pay) in situations where there is no direct threat to the health or safety of the employee or others.

Upon being notified that an employee needs an accommodation, the company will assist the employee to identify possible accommodations.

Employees are encouraged to use this procedure without fear of retaliation. Employees who believe that they have been treated in a manner not in accordance with this policy should notify Human Resources immediately.
