Policy
When it comes to employing minors, we want to make sure that everyone we work with and our associates follow the law and make sure that the interests of minors employed by the company are taken into account.
A company's goal is to do business in a legal, ethical manner that contributes to society and the environment rather than harming it. Our company wants to ensure that it is not involved in child exploitation. While we want our business to grow and thrive, we also are committed to doing good for the community we live in. All of our employees are expected to follow this policy because securing a bright future for children is everyone's responsibility.
Young Children
It is important not to hinder the health, education, or free time of young children younger than 14. As a result, we do not and will not hire anyone under 15 years of age.
Older Children
We will always abide by the Federal, State, and Local laws if we need to hire children older than 15. Generally, these children can work, but they should never do work that jeopardizes their health and safety or adversely affects their education and development.
Procedure
According to applicable laws, their hours and wages are determined by the General Manager. No minor will be employed for more than the maximum number of hours per week or per day. We will abide by the work permit submitted by the minor.
Before a minor is hired, they will have to submit a work permit. The applicant will not be scheduled until they provide this document, with no exceptions. An employer's duty is to inform a minor applicant that such documents must be provided.
