Policy

We are committed to ensuring a safe, healthy, and productive work environment for all employees. Using marijuana in the workplace hurts productivity and poses a hazard to everyone. For these reasons, the company prohibits the use of marijuana in the workplace. Compliance with this policy is a condition of continued employment for all employees.

In terms of marijuana use, the company complies with all state and federal laws and regulations. The purpose of this policy is to prohibit the use of marijuana at work.

Procedures

Employees are prohibited from reporting to work or working while under the influence of marijuana, which can adversely affect their ability to safely and effectively perform their job duties.

Employees are further prohibited from consuming, smoking, or otherwise ingesting marijuana during work hours, including during meal and rest breaks.

The company does not allow the use of marijuana for medical purposes at work. Marijuana use at work is prohibited for all employees, including medical marijuana users authorized by state law.

Violations

Employees who fail to comply with the company’s marijuana use policy are subject to discipline, up to and including termination.
