Policy
Every non-exempt employee is obligated to maintain daily records of their work hours. The timekeeping platform utilized, Homebase, is responsible for tracking employee hours. It is the employees' responsibility to ensure the accuracy of these recorded hours.
Procedure
Each employee must adhere to the following rules:
Prior to commencing work, employees are required to clock in using the iPad systems. Upon concluding their work, they shall clock out.
It is imperative for employees to clock out when departing from the workplace for reasons unrelated to their assigned duties.
Employees must not clock in earlier than two minutes before the commencement of their scheduled shift. In the event an employee clocks in five minutes after their designated shift start, they shall be considered tardy. Employees are prohibited from clocking out more than five minutes before or after the conclusion of their workday, unless they receive explicit authorization from their supervisor/manager. In such cases, the employee is obligated to enter a note on the timecard.
Punctual reporting is contingent upon clocking in within the timeframe specified in item three.
Employee compensation is predicated on timesheets validated by the actual recorded times in Homebase. Any modifications to the recorded time must obtain approval from the employee's supervisor and edited in Homebase by the General Manager with notes. Employees shall bear responsibility for any manually submitted changes.
Employees are compelled to clock out for the entirety of their meal and rest breaks.
Employees must remain clocked in for any mandatory meetings.
With the exception of emergency circumstances, obtaining prior consent for overtime work is contingent upon approval from a supervisor.
Employees are obligated, as part of the Homebase platform, to capture photos upon entry and exit via the iPad as a component of the clocking in/clocking out process.
In the event that an employee fails to clock in or out via Homebase, they are required complete a missed punch form.
Those who violate these procedures may be subject to disciplinary actions, including oral or written warnings, suspension without pay, and termination. Under no circumstances shall one employee clock in or out on behalf of another employee. Employees found in violation of this practice can be terminated immediately. Disciplinary measures, including termination, will be enforced against any individual found falsifying timesheets.
